Microsoft 365 Groups are the foundation for collaboration across various services like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and more. Group Policies in Automate365 allow administrators to define how these Microsoft 365 Groups will function when new workspaces are provisioned through a template. This ensures consistent communication preferences, visibility settings, and overall group behavior across your organization.

By setting these policies, you gain control over critical aspects of group management, reducing the need for manual configuration after a workspace is created and ensuring compliance with your internal standards.

Available Group settings

Automate365 provides key settings to manage your Microsoft 365 Groups:

Like other governance settings in Automate365, Group Policies can be configured as a reusable policy through the central Policies area in the Automate365 app, or as a template-specific policy directly within the template creation wizard.

With your Microsoft 365 Group settings in place, you can now define tailored policies for your Teams workspaces. Learn how to configure specific Teams features and functionalities during provisioning.
