Managing external access within your Microsoft 365 workspaces is key for both security and productivity. External Sharing Policies in Automate365 empower admins to define precise rules for who can access resources from outside the organization.
External sharing options
Automate365 provides options for external sharing that are similar to the native settings found when configuring external access for a new SharePoint site collection. These options allow you to precisely control the level of external collaboration permitted for workspaces provisioned by your templates.
Note: Your Automate365 policies cannot grant more permissive sharing than what is allowed at your organization's tenant level.
If an option within Automate365's policy configuration exceeds your organization's global external sharing settings, that option will appear greyed out and unavailable for selection. This ensures that Automate365 always adheres to your highest level of tenant security.
Beyond external sharing, you can establish precise control over the core configurations of your Microsoft 365 Groups. Learn how to define specific settings for the groups created through your templates.
