Updating BindTuning Web Parts

BindTuning regularly publishes updates for its Web Parts to ensure you benefit from the latest features, performance enhancements, and bug fixes.

When an update is available, account owners with valid subscription will received a notification via email. For more information, please refer to the article.


Accessing web parts

To update your Web Parts, log in to the BindTuning App and navigate to the Web Parts section.

Updating web parts

The app offers different options to update web parts

Individual update

This method is very useful if you need an specific web part to be quickly updated.

  • Hover over the desired Web Part card.

  • Click the ellipsis (...) icon.

  • Select "Update".

Alternatvely, you can target more than one web part by selecting the checkbox on the top-left side of the web part tile

Bulk update (Recommended)

When multiple web parts has received a new version, is recommended run a general update to all components, by choosing this option, the app will determine and update only outdated web parts to enhance deployments effectivity.


The update Installation Wizard

Regardless of the method you choose, an installation wizard will guide you through the update process. You will need to select the scope of your update:

  • Tenant Level Update: This option updates the Web Part(s) installed across your entire tenant. The interface will display the currently installed version before you proceed with the update.

  • Site Collection Level Update: If selected, the interface will retrieve a list of all specific site collections where the Web Part is installed. You can then select one or more site collections to update.

    • If you select multiple sites, you can click the "Multiple Versions" button to review the different versions currently installed across those selected sites before proceeding.

  • Microsoft Teams Update (Optional): Before the update begins, you will also be prompted to select if you wish to update the Web Part version in Microsoft Teams.

  • Proceed, review, and click "Start Update".

During the update, BindTuning automatically applies the latest features, modifications, and corrections to your product package, ensuring you have the most current and optimized version.
