BindTuning themes are continuously tested and monitored, with customer feedback driving frequent updates and fix releases. These updates deliver new features, modifications, and corrections to your theme package.

It's important to understand that updating your theme is a two-step process:

  1. Generate the updated theme package within the BindTuning App.

  2. Reinstall this new package onto your SharePoint environment to apply the changes.

You will be notified of available updates via email, and a yellow ribbon will appear on the theme card in your BindTuning App.

1. Generate an updated theme package

Follow these steps to generate the latest version of your theme package:

  1. Log in to your BindTuning App and go to your "Created by Me" themes page: https://app.bindtuning.com/intranet/mythemes

  2. Locate the theme you wish to update. If an update is available, you will see a yellow ribbon on its card.

  3. Initiate the update process using one of the following options:

    • From the Theme Card: Mouse over the theme card, click the ellipsis (...), and select "Update".

    • From the Theme Details Page: Click on the theme card to enter its details page, then click the "Update" button.

  4. Follow the update wizard. This process will generate the new version of your theme. The updated package will be ready in a few minutes after generation.

Note: This step only updates the theme package within your BindTuning App; it does not automatically apply the changes to your SharePoint environment.

2. Reinstall the updated theme in SharePoint

To apply the latest features, modifications, and corrections from the newly generated theme package to your SharePoint environment, you must reinstall the theme.

This step is crucial as the changes are not automatically pushed to your SharePoint environment after the package is generated in the BindTuning App.
