Release – July 30, 2026

Written by BindTuning Team

This release focuses on improving the reliability and predictability of common content management and configuration tasks across the intranet experience. Several updates address issues that could interrupt content creation workflows, while others make configuration behavior easier to understand by providing clearer visibility into how settings interact with one another. The result is a more consistent experience for both content authors and site owners. Creating and managing content now involves fewer interruptions, configuration options are easier to interpret, and validation feedback more accurately reflects the actions required to resolve issues. Together, these improvements help reduce friction in day-to-day administration and content management activities.

Fixes

Celebrations (v.2.2.2.45)

Clarified dependencies between event display options

We've refined the Celebrations web part configuration to make the dependencies between event display options clearer. Previously, options in the “Layout” settings group, including “Event Label, “Event Icon”, “Label display mode” and “Icon/Label Color”, could disappear or change their name or behavior depending on the values selected in other settings. This made it difficult to understand which options were available and how one configuration choice affected another. The configuration panel now presents related options in a logical sequence and keeps dependent settings visible. When an option is unavailable because of another selection, it is disabled and accompanied by an explanation of the dependency, making the effect of each configuration choice easier to predict.

News (v.3.1.2.101)

Restored “Add News”

Previously, selecting “News Post” or “News Link from the “Add News” button did not launch the corresponding creation wizard, preventing authors from creating news directly from the News web part. This behavior has been corrected, and both actions now open the appropriate creation experience as expected.

More reliable News Link creation

Previously, creating a News Link from a valid URL through “Add News » News link” could fail unexpectedly, preventing the link from being added. The News Link creation process is now more reliable, with less dependence on retrieving metadata and more consistent support for links.

Quick Links (v.4.0.2.49)

Fixed an incorrect link validation message

Previously, when creating a new Quick Link, leaving the Link URL empty could display an incorrect validation message indicating that “Title” was missing, even when it had already been provided. The validation has been corrected to identify the actual missing field, helping authors quickly resolve input errors and making the link creation experience more intuitive.

Overall, this release strengthens the reliability of key authoring and configuration experiences while improving the clarity of system behavior and user feedback. By addressing workflow interruptions, making configuration dependencies more transparent and reducing ambiguity during setup, the release helps users complete common tasks with greater confidence and fewer unexpected obstacles. This still reflects the News fixes, the Celebrations dependency work and the Quick Links validation correction, but without sounding like a feature-by-feature recap. It reads more like a product manager explaining the theme of the release rather than documenting individual changes.
