This release improves how content is managed across several web parts by bringing internally stored data into a single, consistent management experience.
Previously, content saved directly within a web part could only be maintained through that individual component. With the new Configure Data Source experience, administrators and editors can now view, search, edit, and delete internally stored items from a centralized interface across Accordion, Carousel, News, Quick Links, and Media Gallery. In addition, content that was originally stored only within a web part can now be promoted to a SharePoint list without recreating or migrating items manually, removing an important limitation for customers whose content requirements evolve over time.
The practical benefit is a more predictable and scalable content management experience. Teams can start with simple, web part-managed content and move to SharePoint lists when greater governance, visibility, or collaboration becomes necessary, without disrupting existing content. By standardising management across multiple web parts, the release also reduces configuration complexity and improves discoverability, ensuring that common actions are available in the same place regardless of which web part is being used.
Improvements
Accordion v3.2.2.65
Unified "Configure Data Source" management for internal (web part-stored) data
You can now view and manage items stored directly within the web part through a centralized Configure Data Source panel.
Previously, when using "Save to this web part" as the data source, items were stored internally and weren't visible or editable outside the web part itself. Now, opening Configure Data Source gives you a full table view of all items - with direct access to the edit and delete action and search - plus the ability to promote that data into a SharePoint list at any time via Save data in SP List, so you can scale up without losing existing content.
This brings the same consistent experience across all five web parts, centralizing what used to be scattered or missing management options into a single, discoverable panel.
Carousel v2.0.2.33
Unified "Configure Data Source" management for internal (web part-stored) data
You can now view and manage items stored directly within the web part through a centralized Configure Data Source panel.

Fixes
News v3.1.2.100
Search/Filter/Sort (SFS) field visibility fixes
When using the "Save to this web part" data source, no configuration fields appeared at all, leaving the dropdowns completely empty. This has been corrected so that all the correct and expected fields now display perfectly.
When using the "News Posts" data source, all available fields would appear duplicated with no exception, cluttering the interface. This has been resolved so that only one unique instance per field appears.
Calendar Events v4.0.2.97
Restored Category Color Settings visibility
The Category Color Settings buttons were missing from the configuration panel. We have restored the functionality so editors can now access and manage event categories normally again.
Search/Filter/Sort (SFS) field visibility fixes
When using the "Outlook" or "M365 Groups" data sources, no configuration fields appeared at all, leaving the dropdowns completely empty. This has been corrected so that all the correct and expected fields now display perfectly.
Calendar View v2.0.2.31
Restored Category Color Settings visibility
The Category Color Settings buttons were missing from the configuration panel. We have restored the functionality so editors can now access and manage event categories normally again.
This release focuses on simplifying content management while removing previous constraints around internally stored data. The new Configure Data Source experience provides a consistent way to view, manage, and evolve content across multiple web parts, including the ability to promote existing web part-managed content to SharePoint lists without rebuilding it. Together, these changes reduce configuration complexity and improve discoverability, while several targeted fixes improve consistency and reliability across content configuration experiences.
