This release brings meaningful updates across the BindTuning Intranet ecosystem, from web part new features to the enterprise applications that support installation and consent flows.
Across Web Parts, we introduced enhancements shaped by customer feedback, including insights from our Build a High-Engagement SharePoint News Center webinar. Content editors now get clearer item-level audience targeting, time-limited content highlighting and quick, in-product links to share feedback or request features.
On the platform side, we streamlined enterprise application consents required for intranet product installation, so customers only grant the consents required for their specific products.
These updates give IT admins tighter control over Enterprise Application scopes while delivering meaningful improvements to how content editors target, highlight, and manage content across Web Parts.
Installation updates - enterprise applications
Updates were applied to the enterprise applications required to install BindTuning products from our online app. These adjustments ensure customers grant only the consents necessary for the specific product in use.
Because this change affects the underlying enterprise application, the next installation or update will require approval from a Global Admin - a good step to plan for ahead of time.
New features
All web parts - in-product feedback and ratings
In-product feedback and ratings: All web parts now include direct links in the "License" section in the web part settings panel to submit feature requests through our Canny board or to rate BindTuning on G2. This makes it easier for editors and admins to share feedback directly from SharePoint, without switching tools or leaving the flow of work.
News (v3.1.2.95)
Time-limited news highlighting: Content editors can now promote a news item for a defined period - 7, 15, 30, or 60 days, or a custom duration. Once the period expires, the item automatically returns to its normal position in the feed with no manual clean-up required.
Admin control over the "See all" button visibility: Content editors can now show or hide the "See all" navigation button via a simple toggle in the Actions Panel. Available exclusively when the data source is set to News Posts.
Quick Links (v4.0.2.43)
Time-limited content highlighting: Links can be promoted for a defined period - 7, 15, 30, or 60 days, or a custom duration. Once the period expires, the link automatically returns to its normal position in the feed with no manual clean-up required.
Carousel (v2.0.2.28)
Time-limited content highlighting: Items can be promoted for a defined period - 7, 15, 30, or 60 days, or a custom duration. Once the period expires, the item automatically returns to its normal position in the feed with no manual clean-up required.
Improvements
All web parts
Consistent version naming in property panels: Version names are displayed uniformly between the app and the "License" section in the property pane.
News (v3.1.2.95)
Enhanced web part and item-level audience targeting: Items are visible only when users match both the web part audience and the item-level audience. Editors now see eligible users prioritized when selecting item-level targets, get clear indicators when items won't be visible, and receive warnings when web part audiences create orphaned items. Items hidden from all viewers are clearly marked, and the panel explains why, making audience-driven publishing more transparent, predictable, and dependable.
Media Gallery (v3.1.2.36)
Enhanced web part and item-level audience targeting: Items are visible only when users match both the web part audience and the item-level audience. Editors now see eligible users prioritized when selecting item-level targets, get clear indicators when items won't be visible, and receive warnings when web part audiences create orphaned items.
Quick Links (v4.0.2.43)

Carousel (v2.0.2.28)
Improved caption behavior and layout flexibility: Carousel items now offer more flexibility by supporting background-only slides without requiring text fields. Captions appear only when at least one text field is populated, preventing empty overlays and reducing visual noise.
Fixes
All web parts
Search and Filter fields consistent and complete: Field selectors under Search Filter Sort were producing duplicate entries and failing to surface all available fields. Configurations are now consistent and complete across all web parts.
Calendar View (v2.0.2.26)
Calendar color settings applied consistently: Custom color settings configured via the "Change the Look" panel appeared as not being honored by the Calendar View web part. Color was being applied to text, with a variation applied to the background. Color customization is now applied to the background, with a transparency to keep the layout smooth; text is rendered in black or white, respecting accessibility recommended color contrast.
Carousel (v2.0.2.28)
Migration to v2.0.2.27 issues resolved: Several issues introduced during migration have been corrected: fields are now populated accurately, save functionality is fully restored, validation is enforced, and field naming is consistent throughout the configuration experience.
Media Gallery (v3.1.2.36)
Non-functional "Filter by" no longer displayed by default: When using the "Save to this web part" source, a "Filter by" option was incorrectly displayed even though no filtering applies to this source type. The filter UI is now hidden when not applicable.
News (v3.1.2.95)
"See all" button now works across all data sources: The "See all" button was failing to display news content correctly when using the Current Site source and was not appearing at all when using Selected Sites or All Sites. Both issues are resolved - the button now displays the full, accurate list of posts regardless of source.
People (v3.1.2.31)
Special-character searches return accurate results: Search and filtering now behave as expected, even when users include special characters such as "&" in their queries.
Quick Links (v4.0.2.43)
Non-functional "Filter by" no longer displayed by default: When using the "Save to this web part" as a data source, a "Filter by" dropdown was incorrectly displayed even though no filtering options exist for that source type. The filter control is now removed.
Script Editor (v2.0.2.25)
Trusted scripts load reliably again: The Script Editor now correctly loads trusted external scripts, restoring the ability to render embedded scripts. This ensures richer custom experiences render consistently within SharePoint's security boundaries.
Stream Pro (v2.0.2.26)
Stream Pro now correctly detects existing playlists: When selecting a site collection that already contained Stream Playlists, the web part was not picking them up and only offered options to create new ones. Existing playlists are now automatically detected and listed for selection during configuration.
Stocks Ticker (v2.0.2.49)
Stocks Ticker rendering restored: The web part was loading blank on page load despite a valid license and an up-to-date version. The underlying data retrieval issue has been resolved - ticker information now displays correctly on load.
This release strengthens the foundation of the BindTuning intranet experience, tightening control at the platform level while making everyday publishing clearer and more predictable. With improved targeting, easier highlighting, and in-product feedback channels, editors can work with greater confidence and fewer surprises, even in complex audience scenarios.
As we continue to evolve the BindTuning ecosystem, our priority remains the same: helping organizations build intranets that are simple to maintain, intuitive to use, and ready for whatever comes next. Thank you for shaping this work through your feedback and for trusting BindTuning to power your digital workplace.
