This release is primarily about security and continuity. With Microsoft enforcing Content Security Policy (CSP) in SharePoint Online starting March 1, updating now is essential to keep BindTuning web parts working as expected. This update ensures our web parts follow Microsoft‑supported patterns and continue to load safely and reliably once CSP moves from reporting to enforcement.
Alongside this, we’ve included a set of maintenance and alignment improvements that strengthen everyday use. That means better respect for SharePoint’s native behaviors, like audience targeting, and small fixes that keep pages consistent, predictable, and easy to manage.
Security & continuity updates
Protect your environment's functionality before SharePoint’s security model shifts.
Full CSP compliance across all Web Parts
We have updated all BindTuning web parts to ensure scripts are loaded exclusively from trusted sources. This prevents SharePoint Online from blocking your web parts when it begins actively restricting inline scripts on March 1, 2026. Updating now is essential to keep your tools working as expected.
Essential configuration requirements
Because CSP enforcement is a significant change, installing the update alone is not enough. You must complete additional configuration steps at the tenant and site level. Our comprehensive guide provides the roadmap to ensure your products remain fully operational.

New Features
News (v3.1.2.94)
SharePoint native Audience Targeting support: BindTuning News now honors SharePoint’s native audience targeting for News Posts, displaying targeted news only to the intended audiences when used within BindTuning web parts.
Improvements
Documents (v4.0.2.32)
Content refresh in edit mode: added a refresh action button, allowing authors to manually reload content when needed.
News (v3.1.2.94)
Improved auto‑population when pasting links: When creating SharePoint news items, metadata (title, description, thumbnail) is now auto‑fetched only while the form remains untouched. If an author edits any field, subsequent URL changes no longer overwrite existing content, preventing accidental data loss and ensuring a more predictable editing experience.
Audience‑scoped user targeting for list‑based news: When using a SharePoint list as the news source, target user selection is limited to users included in the web part’s defined target audience.
Full‑resolution images from Site Pages: Images in the web part sourced from Site Pages now display in full resolution, ensuring sharper visuals and a consistent user experience.
Quick Links (v4.0.2.42)
Audience‑scoped user targeting for list‑based links: when using a SharePoint list as the source, target user selection is limited to users included in the web part’s defined target audience.
Improved auto‑population when pasting links: When creating items, link metadata (title, description, thumbnail) is now auto‑fetched only while the form remains untouched. If an author edits any field, subsequent URL changes no longer overwrite existing content, preventing accidental data loss and ensuring a more predictable editing experience.
Media Gallery (v3.1.2.35)
Clearer behavior when item limits are applied: when a maximum number of items is defined, only the first items returned by SharePoint are displayed. If media is stored across multiple folders, this limit may cause some folders or items not to appear. A tooltip was added to explain this.
Audience‑scoped user targeting for list‑based media: when using a SharePoint list as the media source, target user selection is limited to users included in the web part’s defined target audience.
Celebrations (v2.2.2.39)
Improved watermark layout visibility: Enhanced visibility and positioning of watermark layouts, ensuring backgrounds no longer crop images.
Carousel (v2.0.2.27)
Separate field mappings for carousel backgrounds (image, video, color): When the Carousel web part pulls items from a SharePoint list, background assets no longer need to live in a single column. You can now map image, video, and color to different columns, so your list structure can match how your content is stored.
Fixes
All web parts
BindTuning theme fonts now applied to all web parts: When enabled in BindTuning Settings, the “Allow Web Parts inherit Theme Font” option is now correctly applied to all BindTuning web parts. As a result, web parts receive and use the configured theme fonts, ensuring consistent typography and a unified visual experience across the page.
Search, Filter & Sort component now fits smaller page sections: The SFS component no longer overflows to the right when a web part is placed in a smaller section. This keeps the layout contained and prevents horizontal spill/visual breaks in narrow columns.
Documents (v4.0.2.32)
Consistent folder card alignment: Folder cards now align correctly across all layouts.
Modern settings panel layout corrected: SharePoint’s modern settings panel styles no longer overlap the custom form header.
Stable settings panel when switching web parts: Switching to another web part while an Add/Edit form is open no longer results in an empty settings panel.
Slider (v3.0.2.73)
Reliable image picker loading: The image picker now loads correctly for all folders.
Tiles (v4.0.2.86)
Reliable image picker loading: The image picker now loads correctly for all folders.
With this update in place, you can move into CSP enforcement with confidence, knowing your BindTuning web parts remain secure, compatible, and supported. The additional fixes and improvements reinforce what we care about most: reliability, clarity, and not getting in your way.
Accordion (v3.2.2.60)
Layout selector restored: The layout selection options, previously missing, are now correctly displayed and fully functional.
This is part of our ongoing commitment to evolve with SharePoint—not around it. We’ll keep focusing on doing the right foundational work, so your teams can focus on publishing content and building experiences without worrying about what might break next.
