The "Tenant" section provides a clear overview of your current permissions and tenant setup, indicating your ability to perform various actions within the BindTuning App, like running product installations or accessing tenant analytics.

You can easily check your Tenant Status from your Workspace Settings.

  1. Click on your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen

  2. Select "Workspace Settings."

  3. On the left-hand Menu, select "Tenant".

The image below illustrates your tenant's status concerning BindTuning operational requirements.

Note: Green checkmarks display granted permissions or configurations.

Identify your primary Tenant

At the top, you'll see your Tenant Domain (e.g., https://contoso.sharepoint.com). The refresh icon on the right is useful for updating the displayed status after new permissions have been granted or configurations changed, allowing you to confirm the updated checks.

Additionally, the icon on the left represents the full tenant status, which depends on all the individual consents/configurations.

🟒 Green: All permissions are granted

🟑 Yellow: Consent is granted, but you are still missing some green checks; depending on the missing permissions, different actions might not work.

πŸ”΄ Red: Consent hasn't been granted.

Tenant-wide consents

The consents in this section detail permissions that are approved through Global Administrator consent and rely on BindTuning's enterprise application being installed in your Azure portal.

Global administration consent

A green checkmark here indicates that global administrative consent has been granted. For Global Administrators, a 'Revoke consent' button will appear on the right, allowing for easy removal of consent if our solutions are no longer used.

Microsoft 365 authentication

This shows the status of your individual Microsoft 365 authentication. A "Logout" button is available on the right, serving a similar purpose to "Revoke consent" but only applying to the individual user who clicks it.

Sensitivity labels status

This option verifies if sensitivity labels are enabled in your tenant. If disabled, the BindTuning App conveniently allows you to enable or disable Sensitivity Labels directly from within the application, eliminating complex manual steps.

Enabling Sensitivity Labels through this process still requires creating and configuring labels and their policies in Microsoft Purview.

Tenant App Catalog

A green check here confirms that a Tenant App Catalog exists in your SharePoint environment.

Refer to the following article for more information on how to Create a Tenant App catalog.

Your permissions status

This section outlines your specific individual permissions within the tenant. To turn the corresponding red 'x' into a green checkmark, the following permissions are required:

  • Global administrator: This is the highest level of permission, granting control over all facets of your Microsoft 365 infrastructure (SharePoint, Azure, Teams, etc.). A Global Administrator can perform all actions within the BindTuning App.

  • Tenant app catalog site collection administrator: You need to be assigned as a Site Collection Administrator for the SharePoint Tenant App Catalog site.

  • Tenant app catalog site collection owner: You need to be an Owner of the SharePoint Tenant App Catalog site collection.

  • SharePoint administrator: You need to have the SharePoint Administrator role assigned in your Microsoft 365 admin center.

  • Teams administrator: You need to have the Teams Administrator role assigned in your Microsoft 365 admin center.

Other authorized tenants

BindTuning subscriptions typically entitle users to connect one production tenant and (by request) one development tenant.

This section displays any other tenants authorized to use your BindTuning subscription. Having more than one authorized tenant is extremely beneficial for users who prefer to test new versions or configurations in a development environment before deploying them to their live production environment.

To request changes to your list of authorized tenants, click "Request Changes".
