This release will be available starting April 21 and affects several themes.

IMPORTANT: This release is only available for Office 365 and SharePoint 2019 Modern experience.

Improvements

Office 365 (Modern)

  • We've made significant improvements to how Audience Targeting works with your theme menu. This includes:

    • Improved validation ensures Audience Targeting is correctly detected and applied.

    • We now force the cache to refresh for Hub Site information, guaranteeing the menu always reflects the latest updates.

    • When Audience Targeting is applied to child items within Hub Navigation, the menu will now behave more consistently and reliably, ensuring users see only the content relevant to them.

  • We've improved how the breadcrumb is built, especially for third-level subsites. The system now performs a permission check for the current user before making calls to parent sites to retrieve their titles. This ensures that the breadcrumb only displays accessible links and prevents unnecessary requests for sites the user cannot view, leading to a more reliable and secure navigation experience.

SharePoint 2019 (Modern)

  • We've improved how the breadcrumb is built, especially for third-level subsites. The system now performs a permission check for the current user before making calls to parent sites to retrieve their titles. This ensures that the breadcrumb only displays accessible links and prevents unnecessary requests for sites the user cannot view, leading to a more reliable and secure navigation experience.

Fixes

SharePoint 2019 (Modern)

  • We've fixed an issue where your custom search center URL would sometimes incorrectly switch from Global to Local scope. The system now reliably maintains the chosen search scope (Local or Global) by correctly appending /siteall for local searches or omitting it for global searches, ensuring consistent search behavior.
