This article details the different member roles available in your BindTuning workspace and their corresponding permissions. Understanding these roles is crucial for assigning the correct level of access to your team members, optimizing productivity, and maintaining workspace security.

Overview of member roles and permissions

Your workspace offers four distinct roles, each with specific capabilities

Owner

Is the creator of the account and owns the workspace.

  • Has all permissions

  • Can delete the account (and workspace)

Admin

Has comprehensive access to the workspace, excluding account deletion.

  • Create, edit, save, publish, and delete all assets (themes, templates, etc.).

  • Install all assets and products.

  • Manage (create, edit, delete, share) policies.

  • Manage (create, edit, delete, share) approval workflows.

  • Manage the workspace (invite/remove teammates, change workspace details).

  • Manage (view and edit) billing information.

Member

Designed for content creation and product installation.

  • Create, edit, save, publish, and delete all assets (themes, templates, etc.).

  • Install all assets and products.

  • Define approval workflows within the context of their templates.

Billing Agent

Focused solely on financial management.

  • Manage (view and edit) billing information only.


Assigning Roles

To change an existing workspace member's role:

  1. Click your avatar, then select Workspace Settings > Members.

  2. Click the current role of the desired member to open the dropdown menu.

  3. Select the new role.

  4. A confirmation prompt will appear:

    • If you are granting higher permissions, click "Grant permissions."

    • If you are reducing access, click "Reduce access."

Workspace member roles can be assigned by the Workspace Owner or any designated Workspace Admin.
